Participants for the INNOCENT doctoral programme were chosen - 17.11.2006
An evaluation board has chosen five doctoral students to the INNOCENT doctoral programme in intellectual property law in IPR University Center, University of Helsinki. There were altogether 14 applications. Seven of them arrived from the Nordic countries, one from another EU member state and 6 from non-EU countries. The applicants were of high quality, but the final decisions were unanimous.
The board consisted of Ms Pirkko-Liisa Haarman, Judge emerita at the Finnish Supreme Court, Ms Virpi Tiili, LL.D., Judge at the Court of First Instance of the European Communities, Professor Jukka Mähönen, University of Turku. Mr Marcus Norrgård, LL.D., was the secretary of the evaluation board.
The elected doctoral students are Ms Amina Agovic (Australia), Ms Rosa Maria Ballardini (Italy), Ms Ulla-Maija Mylly (Finland), Ms Anu Pitkänen (Finland) and Mr Liguo Zhang (China).

Students for another graduate school , Law in a Changing World (LCW) were elected at the same time. LWC is a Finnish, nation-wide graduate school for legal studies for 2007–2011.
